Have Your Say Townsville is an online hub where our community can provide real input and direction into projects and initiatives that affect your local areas and the overall excellence of our city.
Whether it be playgrounds, planning schemes, local laws, open space projects or major infrastructure, this is the place to share your thoughts, initiatives, and opinions.

COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT POLICY
Townsville City Council’s Community Engagement Policy outlines council’s commitment to engaging with our region’s diverse communities.
Townsville City Council has adopted the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) framework which will applied as appropriate through the Community Engagement Plan. Community Engagement will be designed to reflect the appropriate IAP2 levels:
Inform: Providing the public with balanced and objective information to assist them in understanding the situation, circumstances and /or council decisions.
Consult: two-way communications designed to obtain public feedback about ideas or rationale, alternatives and proposals to inform decision making.
Involve: Working directly with the public throughout the process to ensure that public concerns and aspirations are consistently understood and considered.
Collaborate: To partner with the public in each aspect of the decision including the development of alternatives and the identification of the preferred solution.
Townsville City Council acknowledges the Wulgurukaba of Gurambilbarra and Yunbenun, Bindal, Gugu Badhun and Nywaigi as the Traditional Owners of this land. We pay our respects to their cultures, their ancestors and their Elders, past and present - and all future generations.
