PROJECT UPDATE Following consultation with the community, Townsville City Council has upgraded the playground with modern equipment including two climbing towers, three slides, a flying fox, climbing ropes, swings, soft-fall flooring and a carousel. The new equipment has further enhanced Bluewater Park’s reputation as a destination park for Townsville parents and children. Council received $247,000 to install new playground equipment and $343,000 for upgraded irrigation from the Australia Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program. *Please refer to Council's Media Release for more information about the upgraded Bluewater Park.*
