PROJECT UPDATE
Council would like to provide you with a further update on the Corcoran Park Amenities project located in Hermit Park.
Council invited the community to provide feedback in relation to an amenities block proposed for the park that will improve the overall user experience within the open space. The project received 419 visitors to the page with 18 responses that has provided Council guidance in shaping this project and more importantly future open space parks within our region.
An overview of the feedback informed Council of the following:
Concerns raised regarding safety;
Support for investment in the Hermit Park area (83.3%); and
Overall majority support for the project (66.7%),
Please be advised that this amenities block will be operational 6am – 6pm daily.
As a result of the community consultation, Council will be proceeding with the installation of the amenities block within Corcoran Park:

Construction works are anticipated to commence Monday, 18 May 2020 and take around 6 weeks to complete – weather permitting.
Works may involve:
Operation of machinery
Flashing lights, construction traffic
Noise and dust
Normal works hours are 6am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 6am to 2pm on Saturday. In exceptional cases, work may be required outside these hours as advised above.
Council has appointed JMac Constructions to carry out these works.
