Jezzine Barracks Car Park Opening Hours

Townsville City Council has identified the need to close the upper Jezzine Barracks Car Park at night to reduce anti-social behaviour and instances of hooning.

As a result of consulting with the local residents and community within the surrounding area, a trial full closure of the upper car park at Jezzine Barracks was undertaken recently. It has been successful in greatly reducing anti-social behaviours which had been affecting amenity in the area after dark. In order to reopen the carpark for daytime use it is now proposed that vehicle access to the Jezzine precinct road network only be closed between the hours of 9pm and 5am at the junction of Isley and Mitchell Streets, and Jezzine Way East as per the below map.
