Council would like to provide you with a further update on the Murray Pump Track project opposite the Murray Sports Complex in Annandale.
Council invited the community to provide feedback in relation to the installation of a fit-for-purpose, safe and community beneficial pump track that will improve the overall user experience within the open space. Townsville City Council is committed to providing parks, sporting fields and recreational areas that promote active lifestyles, bring people together and contribute to the wellbeing of our city. To deliver on this commitment, Council plans to upgrade the Townsville Dirt Jump Park located opposite the Murray Sports Complex to an asphalt pump track, renew existing irrigation, increase seating and pathways, and plant additional trees.
The project repurposes valuable existing public open space within an area of high-traffic sport and recreational use, laying within Murray Sporting Complex adjacent to Townsville Stadium, Townsville Basketball, and an off-leash dog park.
Council welcomes you to participate and have your say on this project. Your feedback will contribute
to shaping this park and guide Council on decision-making and planning for the future. The short, two minute feedback form can be found on this page.
There is also an easy to use interactive map that allows residents to provide feedback on places of interest or locations relevant to Murray Pump Track. The Murray Pump Track Interactive Map is found at the bottom of this page.
