Parks & Playground Renewals

Throughout the Townsville region we have over 300 parks and open space areas, four botanical gardens, a great many walkways and bikeways throughout the city and surrounds and a variety of camping and caravan locations to suit everyone.

These provide a range of recreational and sporting opportunities for both residents and visitors. On average over 350 ceremonies are held in our parklands every year.

Townsville City Council places high value in community feedback for our parks and open sapces, and invites residents to contribute to our plans. A range of parks and playground upgrades are scheduled for the near future. Residents are encouraged to contribute to shaping these areas, with your feedback on playground equipment and what types of assets you believe are best suited for the area.
