Consultation has concluded

Townsville City Council plans to renew the pathway that extends along the southern side of Sturt Street between Fletcher and Jones Streets.

The existing pathway is heavily used by pedestrians and needs repair.

As part of these works, Council will:

  • reconstruct 155 metres of kerb and channel
  • reconstruct associated driveway crossovers
  • reconstruct identified driveway accesses
  • remove the existing asphalt path and construct approximately 150 metres of full-width plain concrete path.

Council will contact residents before we begin construction activities.

Please review the design graphic in the 'Document Library' for more details.
