Riverside Green has been identified as a “District Recreation Park” aligned to Townsville City Council’s open space hierarchy. Council has developed a Draft Staging Plan for Riverside Green that will be used to guide the development of improvements for the park.
A draft Landscape Concept Plan of Stage 1A and Stage 2A has been developed to show the proposed layout, play equipment and picnic area. 3D visualisations of the small dog off-leash area are also available to view – located on the right side of the page.

Community Feedback Sought
Council would like to know what facilities you use at these parks and what improvements to the existing facilities you would like to see.
Please keep in mind that Council will allocate a budget for each park that is based on location, size, accessibility, facilities, and proximity to other parks in the neighbourhood.
How can you get involved?
Council invites you to have your say on these projects. Your feedback will contribute to renewing these open spaces and guide decision making for future planning.
