Toolakea Park Playground Renewal

About the project

Townsville City Council is undertaking early planning for the playground renewal at Toolakea Park and is seeking community input to co-design the renewal.

Toolakea Park represents a vital community asset intended to gather everyone in a fun, welcoming and comfortable environment. A re-design of the current playground layout could improve the parks' function and amenity.

While any improvements to the playground are not yet part of Council's Capital Works Program for construction, community feedback will help determine the preference for the replacement playground equipment. It will also help support potential future grant applications and funding opportunities.

Council is seeking your input to understand better the way the community use the park and would like to know the following:

• When and how you currently use Toolakea Park
• What you love about the park
• What improvements you would like to see

Council invites you to participate by providing feedback on the potential renewal of Toolakea Park playground by collaborating with us in the 'pre-planning' phase of this project. Your thoughts and contributions are vital to our planning.
