Townsville Mobility Mapping - Future Areas
Consultation has concluded
Townsville City Council is committed to providing infrastructure that is accessible by all.
To gather feedback on existing infrastructure, Townsville City Council in partnership with Spinal Life Australia completed a Navability project in August 2019. Information on the existing Mobility Map can be found at https://www.townsville.qld.gov.au/about-townsville/living-in-townsville/mobility-in-townsville
With modern mapping technology, we can provide an accessibility rating system for our town. Our mobility maps show the effort required to navigate the route. The effort maps are relevant to the elderly, frail and walkers, as well as users of wheelchairs, strollers and mobility scooters.
Council welcomes feedback from the community on which areas of the city residents consider to be suitable for the next stages of mobility mapping.
This may be areas such as the Townsville Hospital or James Cook University as examples.
By using the interactive map below, you can provide us with valuable input into which areas you would like Council to consider for further study.
Future Areas of Study
Use this map to identify locations you consider suitable for future mobility mapping by simply placing a marker on that location and adding comments.
This information will be used by Council to determine the most appropriate areas to include in future studies.
