West Point Road

Townsville City Council is investing in the Island’s future, constructing and maintaining infrastructure built for our community.

As part of this investment, Council plans to develop a strategy for the ongoing maintenance of West Point Road.

Why is this project necessary?

• To maintain the accessibility and safety of West Point Road.

• To develop a strategy for the ongoing maintenance of West Point Road

• To provide a road that meets the needs of both the local community and visitors.

What is included in this project?

Council is seeking feedback on several options for this project, including:

• Bitumen sealing

• Road widening

• Speed limits

• Stormwater management

• Ongoing maintenance.

Council welcomes you to have your say on this project. Your feedback will help us provide a safe and well-maintained access route to West Point.

A Have Your Say feedback form will be open for public participation from Monday, 21 February to Tuesday, 22 March 2022.
