Consultation has concluded

Townsville City Council is investigating design options to identify the preferred alignment of future cycle and pedestrian facilities along Cape Pallarenda Road, between the intersection of Bundock Street and Heatleys Parade, and the intersection of The Esplanade and Marlow Street, Pallarenda.

This project is funded by the Queensland Government under the Cycle Network Local Government Grants (CNLGG). The CNLGG program provides funding to councils to deliver cycling and supporting infrastructure on the principal cycle network.

Why is this project necessary?

This location has been identified in the North Queensland Principal Cycle Network Plan as a principal route and recognised as a missing link for cycling in Townsville.

Community Feedback Sought

Council values community feedback on all our projects and invites you to provide feedback on the type and location of cycling infrastructure to be included on this route. 

How can you get involved?

A Have Your Say feedback form will be open for public participation from Friday, 12 November to Friday, 10 December 2021.
