Consultation has concluded
Townsville is a beautiful place to live with over 300 days of sunshine. However, there is a serious side to living in this tropical paradise that we call home. Our natural environment can present some challenges during the monsoon season with the potential for high-risk weather such as flooding and cyclones. During the dry season, there are potential risks associated with bushfires just to name a few.
Council in direct partnership with the Townsville Local Disaster Management Group is committed to the continual education of our growing community on all hazards that can occur in North Queensland and how our residents can best prepare before, during, and after these events.
