Pathway Renewal - Ogden Street

Townsville City Council plans to reconstruct Ogden Street between Stanley and Blackwood Streets.

As part of these works, Council originally proposed Ogden Street traffic conditions permanently change to accommodate one-way traffic only.

Initial consultation with key stakeholders, including business and property owners in the immediate area indicated an opposition to the one-way traffic proposal.

Council has listened to this feedback and has amended the concept design to maintain two-way traffic.

Following on from our initial consultation, Council now plans to:

• construct an exposed aggregate concrete pathway on both sides of the street
• replace driveway crossovers and accesses
• renew the kerb and channel
• reconstruct the road pavement.

Council will contact residents before we begin construction activities.
