Townsville City Council plans to convert existing unregulated parking bays to 8-hour timed parking on Sooning Street, Nelly Bay and Pacific Drive, Horseshoe Bay.
Why is this project necessary?
• To improve parking opportunities for residents and visitors within the designated areas • To regulate and control parking in high traffic areas.
What is included in this project?
As part of this project, Council plans to: • Install 8P parking signage in two locations • Install a No Stopping sign at the end of Pacific Drive.
How can you get involved?
Council invites you to have your say on this proposed change. Your valuable feedback will contribute to parking accessibility on Magnetic Island and guide Council on decision making and planning for the future.
