Consultation has concluded, thank you for your time.

About the project

Townsville City Council plans to renew the pathway that extends along the southern side of Ross River Road between the corner of Ross River Road and Elizabeth Street and the paved area adjacent to No. 274 Ross River Road.

This Works for Queensland project is delivering jobs for regional Queensland and is funded by the Queensland Government.

The existing pathway is heavily used by pedestrians and needs repair.

As part of these works, Council will:

  • construct approximately 282 metres of full width coloured concrete path with cobbled banding
  • reconstruct associated kerb and channel
  • reconstruct driveway crossovers and accesses where required.

The pathway fronting both No. 290-292 and No. 294-296 Ross River Road will not be included in these works.

How can you get involved?

Council values community feedback on all our projects and initiatives, and invites residents to submit their feedback on the proposed pathway renewal.

The short feedback form can be found on this page.

How long is the consultation period?

Public Consultation on the proposed pathway renewal will run from Wednesday 29 July until Tuesday 18 August.
