PROJECT UPDATE In early 2020, Council invited the community to provide feedback in relation to a multipurpose sport court proposed to improve the overall user experience within Horseshoe Bay Park and Magnetic Island. Council was looking for feedback on whether to include netball or futsal on the relocated multipurpose court in Horseshoe Bay Park, and the results were so close the decision has been made to include both. The project received 363 visitors to the page with 38 responses that has provided Council guidance in shaping this park, and more importantly future open space parks within our region. An overview of the feedback informed Council of the following: • General support for the multipurpose sport court and proposed equipment • Support for investment in the Magnetic Island area Council has successfully installed the multipurpose sport court and the play space is ready for enjoyment.
