PROJECT UPDATE As part of Townsville City Council's commitment to delivering quality parks and open spaces for our community, the renewal of Magpies Park, Garbutt has been identified as an opportunity for local community groups and the wider public to have their say on aspects of design. A period of public consultation ran in early 2020, and included online submissions, consultation with Traditional Owners and Local Elders, schools, community groups and sporting associations. This renewal project received significant face-to-face feedback at multiple on-site consultations and meetings. Council has successfully installed the playground infrastructure - photos of the park renewal can be found in the Images Tab.
